How did the pandemic affect your work?

The pandemic has put everything upside down. On the one hand, we had to deal with an important turnover reduction in restaurants, due to the closure of restaurants, but on the other hand, there was a great increase in demand for retail products. Despite the difficult conditions, in 2020, we managed to increase our turnover in Greece by 13%.

What are challenges and updates had been required?

At the beginning of the crisis, a major challenge we ‘ve faced was the immediate adjustment of the factories’ schedules, to meet the growing demand for retail products. Also the immediate measures’ implementation, for the uninterrupted operation of the factories and the rest of the company, in a period with severe restrictions. In a very short period of time we equipped all the staff who could work from home with laptops and communication systems. We also have invested large sums in rapid testing to ensure that the environment is safe for associates who need to be physically present.

How did our company ADUS support your needs?

Adus was present throughout Covid crises with a constant presence of all sellers in stores, and took care in this way to contribute to the maximum in the uninterrupted supply of our products in the Greek market.
