The name of the ship is “Bites and More by the Shore”. It has about 300 products (food, drinks, first needs items, etc.) and can deliver it through a special mobile app within 45 minutes.

The floating supermarket also caters to those who relax on the beaches of Dubai, such as Kite Beach, Jumeirah Public Beach and Al Sufouh Beach, as bathers can order food through the company’s application.

The supermarket is open six days a week from 10 am until 6 am and designed by Aquatic Architects Design Studio in Dubai.

Another novelty in the operation of this innvative supermarket is the fact that it works with rechargeable batteries and has a special system that absorbs waste without causing pollution to the sea and the environment.

Speaking of this new venture, Carrefour UAE Managing Director Miguel Povedano noted that: "As millions of people enjoy the wonderful coasts of Dubai, this initiative is a natural next step to serve our customers with our products and deliver them to a location where there is currently no such facility".
