Adus positioning - as was analyzed in the presentation and the panel discussion - also forms its central mission, that of supporting and empowering the FMCG operational model under the existing conditions as emerged by the current macroeconomic recession, leading to embrace Adus’ outsourcing service model that constitutes the only way to sustainably increase sales by achieving economies of scale.

Adus Co-Founder & Commercial Manager, Panayiotis Loukeris, in his plenary speech, gave the framework for the consumer goods market in Greece and the profound impact that this market has experienced reflecting the changes that have occurred in our country due to the economic recession. He  stressed out that "Adus having timely observed the lack in the consumer products sector of the required resources in order to promote the products to a more widespread set of sales channels, widens the gap for the  development and maintenance of a fully staffed internal sales department in the FMCG sector companies. Adus successfully provides this service in the form of Outsourcing at the level of Sales, Merchandising & Order Taking. One of the great advantages and fundamental strength for the success of Adus services consists of the experience of its sales & merchandising teams,  as well as its administrative and operational organization, that enables effective implementation of point of sale visits, maximizing the performance through proven readiness, and the innovative support of high-tech continuous communication ".

Discussion & participation by the Panel Executives

Interesting positioning has taken place by the panel speakers who shared with the event’s audience their thoughts and effort towards increasing sales and referred to their experience working with Adus. Further, all panel executives underlined that the consumer is not just at the heart of any business but it actually constitutes its most valuable asset.

Taking the floor, Vana Christopoulou, Managing Director of VIAP MENTEL, referred to the cooperation with ADUS since 2011, by expressing her satisfaction for the readiness and professional experience of ADUS teams, their willingness to contribute and the consistent way in carrying out their duties, the close cooperation with VIAP MENTEL and the effective coordination through frequent meetings with her company. "With this high quality collaboration, VIAP MENTEL’s sales have increased and as a result of all the above reasons our cooperation carries on and will continue in the future. ADUS acts as an undivided system of our company treating our own products consistently, while both the merchandisers and back-office teams keep us constantly informed with reliable and exploitable information. "

Christos Katsoulas, Commercial Director of "VIOLANTA", a company that in addition to its strong presence in the HORECA market, has also recently been actively deploying in the supermarket chains with its packaged products, took the floor saying that "VIOLANTA not possessing the infrastructure to build up a sales and merchandising team, has been cooperating with ADUS for the last five months, nationwide, and from the first stages of this cooperation, a positive set of outcomes immediately emerged. We now know on a daily basis every product’s status, demand, and condition on the shelf at every point of sale. ADUS has undertaken the overall merchandising and order taking activities that we could not take, since  we could not cope having the required resources and the proper organization ".

Evangelos Papanikolaou, Key Account Manager of "BAKE HELLAS" said that the main motivation for the cooperation with ADUS was the sales increase for Bake Hellas, and pointed out that "for about a year with an initial geographic scope of cooperation in Attiki region, there is great satisfaction from the clear information flow that reaches our sales office for the overall status in the supermarket chains on the previous day. I believe that each company is specialized in specific areas and Adus has a pragmatic outsourcing model also creating a short-term benefit upgrading the quality of our cooperation at the levels of sales, merchandising and order taking. We are in the process of expanding this cooperation nationwide meeting the new reality as has been emerging in the supermarkets’ area".

Sotiris Ioannou, Sales Manager of "KRITON ARTOS”, drew the attention of the participants of the event placing a great emphasis on its company’s nature of products, the quality and choice of the raw materials, all of them from Crete, as well as the challenge to capitalize at the commercial level especially in the supermarket chains through adopting Adus’ outsourcing model: "In our daily battle in the supermarket chains, our collaboration with ADUS has begun since 2011. ADUS Executives as well as its excellent sales & merchandising teams possess the required experience of treating KRITON ARTOS’ products as if they were their own products. ADUS teams are capable to continuously implement all the merchandising activities and the order taking process, by consistently offering us the visual experience of the products at every point of sale on the shelf, as well as competitors’ behavior in a continuous and timely information feedback. ADUS helps us achieve economies of scale, sales growth, adapting our policy in a flexible and prompt way enabling us to get a clear picture from every point and at an impressively lower cost compared with what would be required by us to invest, run and manage via in-house resources".

Natassa Apostolopoulou, Head of Sales, Greece of "CHB" presented CHB’s business activities since 1955 with its main engagement to exporting of Greek fresh fruit, mainly citrus fruits, to the European market. Since then CHB has been managing to have a constantly growing presence establishing its corporate brand as one of the largest companies in the fruit processing industry worldwide.

"ADUS essentially constitutes our sales department in Greece as a result of CHB’s lack of having an in-house local sales division. We, in CHB, sincerely appreciate the experience of ADUS sales and merchandising teams and the quality of our co-operation, we have a smooth interaction through our in-house Coordinator, while ADUS teams have been providing us with timely and accurate insight, having as purpose to spot different issues and properly resolve any potential problems, thus resulting in our increased commercial performance in the Greek supermarket chains".
