Companies’ executives speak about extraordinary increment of products’ sales.

These days, the online stores of big supermarket chains, as well as the largest online supermarkets, like e.g. E-fresh.gr, show a great mobility, according to information given to FOODReporter executives.

Indicatively, the marketing director of ANEDIK Kritikos, Diamantis Grammatikopoulos, stated that sales through the chain’s online store has been increased by 400%.

Companies enforce their capacities by broadening their geographic ordering areas. Meanwhile, the four companies FOODReporter spoke with, empower their workforce as well, while the time for products’ delivery is increasing. Below we present information given by four companies’ representatives.

AB Vasilopoulos; Orders are executed within three-days.

AB Vasilopoulos distributes products, purchased online, within three days. “Since we’ve updated our e-shop the demand became higher anyway, while the spread of coronavirus increased the demand even more. Currently, our e-shop orders are executed within three days”.

E-fresh.gr: products’ delivery within five days.

Zena Mavroidi, managing director of E-fresh.gr, points out that during the last three weeks the demand has been highly increased.

“We ‘ve recorded the first week of high demand, before the announcement of the crises in Italy. The product categories of heist demand are; cleaners and disinfectant, legumes and pastas. We deliver products approximately within five days.”  

“Sales has increased by 100%” she said “Every business associated with e-commerce, is dealing with a high pressure, as there are no structures to face a such situation. We have 4 times more customers than the month before.”

ANEDIK Kritikos; 400% sales increment

“Our e-shop orders have been highly increased, not only for products in top categories as disinfectants and antiseptics are, but also in product categories like baby diapers and food, are in a high demand as well” stated ANEDIK’s marketing director, Diamantis Grammatikopoulos.

“We are taking new measures to improve our capacities to meet the demand, by opening additional delivery spots, and by including more stores in our e-shop chain.” He said.

As he mentioned, the timeframe for products’ delivery is four days, while sales have been increased by 400% compared to standard data.

My Market: Double traffic in the online store

My Market customers’ orders through the e-shop will be delivered within three days, according to representatives FOODReporter spoke with.

The same representatives pointed the double traffic, which tests the limits of capabilities.
